Is the Economy Raising Your Cholesterol Levels?

The current state of the economy and the high degree of uncertainty about our economy’s future is one of the top things on everyone’s mind these days. How many times have you found yourself unproductive at work, daydreaming, or maybe even tossing and turning in bed at night wondering about your financial future? You’re not alone and everyone just seems a little more on edge, don’t they? And most folks have no idea what this stress is going to them internally and how it affects all aspects of their health. I think most people would roll their eyes at the notion that stress negatively affects cholesterol levels, but it’s true.

Whatever you can do to relieve stress and relax, then by all means, do it and do it every day. Don’t let stress start to accumulate until you’re tied up in knots. If reading all the articles and watching all the news reports about the economy are making you uptight, then avoid those things. You may find that just avoiding the “stress triggers” like news articles may do as much good for your blood test results as a doctor recommended low cholesterol diet. Give it a try and see how you feel.
